❧ What is this?

Linked above are lists of the creatures and plant life that have been discovered in Thusia so far. It is not a complete list of everything this world has to offer, but it is a list of everything that current characters can interact with on their explorations into dangerous territories. It will be continually added to as new wildlife is discovered, so be sure to check back constantly.

❧ Why do some creatures/plants appear on multiple pages?

Some creatures/plants can naturally be found in multiple locations, but with differing levels of rarity or differences in the creatures/plants themselves.

❧ Why is there an extinct page?

Some animals that were once found in a certain location can no longer be found there, or anywhere else that Thusians have access to anymore, due to Thusian hunting or clearing. So in essence to the Thusian population they are 'extinct.' This does not mean that these creatures will never appear again, as the current Thusian population has barely begun to explore the world they now inhabit, but for the time being that creature or plant is unavailable.

❧ Do I need a mod around to run an exploration post?

Not at all! Just keep in mind the level of difficulty your character should be experiencing while interacting with the more aggressive wildlife. Occasionally, the mods will be running exploration posts for characters to discover new wildlife, but as a player you're free to run your own posts using the Thusia nature journal, fuckingnature.

❧ What if I don't want to play out every time my character goes outside/hunts/picks a plant?

You don't have to! That would certainly be a nuisance to try to keep up with. Simply remember that in handwaving your character going out to kill things, you are also handwaving them taking regular injury, probably needing to break down animals frequently, provide sacrifices, and so on. It's a very involved economy, and it is fine to not RP every aspect of it. We just ask that players be aware that more is going on than taking down monsters.

❧ I found/drew this picture that reminds me of one of these things. Can you use it for an image?

Possibly! If you think you've got a picture that's a good match for something that exists in Thusia, link it here in a comment along with a credit source and we'll take a look at it. If it's a good match, we'll add it to our page!

❧ Why doesn't everything on these pages have a name?

The creatures and plantlife of Thusia have long ago lost their names, so now it's up to the people who have arrived to give them new ones, if they so choose. Bear in mind that it may be a lot easier to warn someone about a monster lurking around the corner when you know the name of it.

❧ How do we establish names for a plant/animal/thing trying to kill me?

Just drop a comment to the appropriate post using the template below and we'll add in the new name as its official name.
