❦
On the plains (B)
Raptor-like creatures with the coloring and facial/body features of an oversized chicken. Stand at around three feet tall fully grown and covered in golden or dirt brown feathers. Their eggs are about the size of a grapefruit and brown with speckles of gold on them.
Omnivores that will peck at anything they can find and team up to try and take down larger prey. Generally stay in flocks of 5-10. Hang out in the wheat stalks and will pounce on intruders, scratching them up with their talons and pecking wildly to try and take their prey down.
Tastes like chicken.

In the hills between the foothills (C) and the forest (F).
Tan, white, and brown goats with extremely long and thick fur hangs down to the ground, making them look like shaggy sheepdogs.
Gentle herbivores, but spooked easily. Generally travels in a herd of 10 or so and will move locations every few days.
Super fatty meat. Their fur is also useable for tailoring purposes and their milk has a very hearty taste to it.

❦❦
On the plains (B) and foothills (C).
Foot-tall prairie dogs with sharp teeth. Yellow-brown in color.
Dig holes all over fields, knee deep. When someone/thing falls into their hole and they're nearby the hole, they'll bark frantically at it before biting it. Can chew through flesh and bone, so it's best to remove any dangling body limbs from holes quickly upon hearing barking.
Edible, though the meat isn't particularly tasty.

On the plains (B).
Dark brown bison roughly the size of elephants. Their horns extend over two feet on either side of their bodies. Female bison tend to have the longer, wider-set horns. Males has tusks along with their horns.
Travels in herds of 20 to 30 and generally peaceful herbivores. Highly protective of their young and will defend themselves if attacked, goring predators with their horns or tusks or just plain stomping them.
Lean meat and coarse, thick fur. Their horns are also carvable and useful for making bone weaponry. Milk is thick and tasty if you can get close enough to any nursing mother to milk her.

❦❦❦
Along the smaller streams that splinter off from the river near the forest (D).
Extremely large beavers that resemble bears in terms of size and strength. They have bear-like claws and a heavy thick beaver tail capable of knocking a man clean off his feet.
Territorial omnivores that build dams in order to catch fish more easily, but will also eat tree bark and other woody materials. Will aggressively defend their dams.
If you manipulate a live one, they're very efficient log cutters. Mind not getting cut yourself along the way though.

❧ Jackaroos |

❦❦
On the plains (B).
Lean brown creatures similar in appearance to kangaroos or rabbits that can grow to two feet tall. They have antlers protruding from the backs of their heads that can grow to be a foot long.
Lightning fast herbivores that are extremely capable jumpers and keep their antlers sharpened in order to be used as defensive measures. Will typically flee over fight and can disappear a second after being spotted. Can often be seen hopping up and down in place in wheat fields, easily clearing the height of the wheat grass.
Rabbit meat! Their antlers are also very sturdy and useful for makeshift weapons.

❦
In the marshes (E).
A rice-like grain that's a deep green in color when harvested.

❦❦
In the foothills (C).
Large fruit trees with wide green leaves which bear orange colored, apple-shaped fruits with a thin skin and orange-colored, solid but juicy flesh.
Grows in large patches across the foothills. They tend to be picked clean if the thicket isn't dense enough, but in certain places that are a bit harder to reach they're fairly plentiful.
Tastes like a tangy pear, with a snap in that first bite that's sharp and refreshing. All the vitamin C you could ever need. Makes excellent juice as well.

❦❦
Along the rivers.
A large, sturdy fruit tree with surprisingly light yellow and white-striped melons growing from it.
Its fruit grows only on the upper branches of the tree. The trees generally grow closer to water sources.
The melons are edible, with a slightly salty flavor due to the water from the rivers.

VEGETABLES
❧ Running Potatoes |
![]() CREDIT
❦
On the plains (B).
A single green stalk with a 'bloom' made out of palm-sized leaves shaped into a disk. Underground, the plant's roots resemble light brown potatoes with stubby growths that resemble legs. The potatoes come in varied sizes and shapes, all roughly the size of a fist.
Grows underground in loose piles of dirt. Startled by loud noises or burrowing wildlife; in response, one stalk will turn gold and release up to five potatoes, which will burst out of the ground and run blindly for a new stretch of dirt to bury into. The potatoes are ridiculously fast and agile.
The potatoes are dense and filling and starchy to eat.
The leaves are also edible.

VINES

❦❦❦
Sparsely on fruit trees in the plains (B) and foothills (C).
A brown and red ivy that grows in thin, short branches that resemble fur, with red tips at the ends of the branches. The tips are needle sharp, with a slight barb at the ends.
Typically grows around fruit trees and other sorts of trees with thick trunks, but is often seen entangled in the fur of the giant bison from the creature rubbing up against trees.
Increases the sensitivity of your senses, stacking in effect with the more number of branches you prick yourself on. At five individual branches, the sensitivity becomes near unbearable and most pass out from the strain.
